When it comes to ordering unlicensed medication, it‘s critical to the patient that the medication supplied meets their specific needs. The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) updated its guidance earlier this year and to ensure we and our customers adhere to the guidelines, when ordering an unlicensed product, our customer service team will always confirm the order taken to minimise the risk of errors.
For patients who are on narrow therapeutic index medications, guidance advises that they are maintained on the same brand of medication to manage their condition and support positive clinical outcomes. Acting in response to the MHRA advice, we have implemented a series of safeguarding prompts, which trigger at the point of order for specific medications.

By supplying endorsing information in the form of adhesive labels, Quantum is saving pharmacists valuable time on what is often a laborious process. Pharmacists simply peel off the endorsement, stick it to the prescription, and then submit it for payment.
